Away with the Scale and in with the Tape

Away with the Scale and in with the Tape
We live in a society that is fixated on pounds. The scale rules our lives. Yet, several studies have shown that the focus should be less on pounds and more on waist circumference. Turns out that waist circumference is a more important indicator of mortality related to being overweight. Carrying belly fat is the most dangerous area to carry it because of how close it is to your organs. .......

So, pull out a tape measurer and measure your waist at the point of your belly button.

The ideal waist size for women is 32 ½ inches. Anything above 37 and your risks increase.

For men, the ideal is 35 inches. The dangers to health rise when you reach 40 inches.

How do you lose inches? The same way you lose pounds…through exercise and a sensible diet.
