Weight Loss Wars Explanation for Percentage Update

We have a few people contact us every couple months about the potential of weight loss wars not updating percent correctly inside of weight loss competitions.

Most often when the competition doesn't recognize weight loss has occurred this means that there is an issue with the dates of the weigh-ins.  Weightlosswars' competitions use the START date of the competition as the baseline. If a person has weighed in BEFORE the competition start date, then weighs in 7 days AFTER the competition start date, the system will recognize the 2nd weigh-in as the 1st weigh-in for the competition. ..................

For example:

Jan 1, I weigh in at 200 pounds.
Jan 2, Competition officially starts according to the exact dates of the competition
Jan 9, I weigh in at 197
Jan 16, I weigh in at 195

The competition will show a weight loss for me as 2 LBS.

To correct this, simply change the initial weigh-in to be on or after the date that the competition started. And the competition will recognize this as the correct starting weight.

Does that answer any questions you might have about discrepancies between whether the competition is updating the percent.

We're here to help so please let me know if you have more questions or if we can help out in any way
