Sleep the “Ugh”-liness Off!

Sleep the “Ugh”-liness Off!

Sleep the “Ugh”-liness Off!
ugh (ŭg) interjection: used to express horror, disgust, or repugnance.  Yes, we all know that enduring the day on little sleep disrupts the most important thing in life—our beauty. However, daily obligations convince us to forfeit precious hours of sleep. The average American adult chooses to sleep only 7 hours or less rather than the recommended 8 to 9 hours. Beauty is sacrificed in turn. .......

When we don’t look right, we just don’t feel right—“ugh.”

There’s a reason it’s called beauty sleep! You can sleep the “ugh”-ly feeling away. Research has shown that anti-aging hormones (melatonin, human growth hormone, and testosterone) are produced in greater amounts at night during sleep. Additionally, the more we sleep, the more we avoid the effects of a stress hormone called cortisol. Lack of sleep will increase cortisol levels, which, according to many studies, is directly tied to weight gain. Do not spend money on anti-aging and anti-weight gain pills. No need. Sleep on.

Remember that beauty does require time. To look and feel your best, you need 8 to 9 hours of good sleep each night.
